Our
Purpose
The Anchor Space was developed from lived experience, created by someone who understands the emotional toll of frontline people focused work.

At its core, The Anchor Space exists to help Students' Unions and other people facing services protect the wellbeing and retention of their staff by offering structured, reflective support before pressures reach crisis point.

When staff have space to process what they carry, they’re more resilient, engaged, and able to sustain the quality of their work, benefiting both individuals and the organisation as a whole.
Our
Approach
We provide reflective support through structured, non-clinical interventions, including 1:1 reflections, guided team workshops, and offering a space to pause and process at any time via our reflective email support.
Our approach is underpinned by the Anchor Reflection Model, a practical, purpose built tool designed to help staff make sense of the emotional demands of their work, in a safe and structured way.
Everything we offer is designed to fit around real world workloads, and aims to help staff feel more supported and valued in the work they do, while strengthening engagement, wellbeing, and wider organisational outcomes.

Our Core Principles
-
Confidentiality & Emotional Safety. We create spaces where staff can speak freely without fear of judgment or repercussion.
-
Authentic, Person-Centred Reflection. Every session is shaped around the individual, not a rigid formula.
-
Wellbeing with Tangible Impact. We focus on measurable improvements in staff wellbeing, which directly enhance the quality of support students receive.
-
Alignment with Organisational Goals – Our approach supports your KPIs and People Strategy, helping you meet targets while caring for your team.
-
Affordable & Accessible. We design our services to be cost-effective and easy to access, ensuring support is available when and where it’s needed.
